The upper and lining use suede made from the underside of leather, sanded for a soft and smooth feel. It gives the sandal a more refined hand without changing its easygoing purpose.

The suede is coated with PFC-free water-repellent oils to help protect the shoes from light rain. That adds some practical weather resistance for everyday wear.
BRAZILIAN MAKEUP
The suede comes from farms in the Rio Grande do Sul region and is tanned in Brazil without harmful or prohibited chemicals. VEJA also uses dyes that meet regulations and gives special attention to water usage during tanning.
