Capitan E Helmet

The Capitan E is Black Diamond’s bomber, ultra-durable climbing helmet, built for the kind of repeated use that comes with big wall climbing and long seasons on rock. It adds coverage at the sides and back without feeling bulky, and the cradle-like fit keeps it comfortable enough to leave on all day.

Its 2-piece construction pairs a rigid, energy-absorbing EPS foam puck on top with softer, semi-rigid EPP foam at the sides for a durable build that also meets the proposed UIAA increased side and back protection requirements. Venting helps when temperatures rise, the low-profile suspension system makes fit adjustments straightforward, and integrated headlamp clips with a rear elastic keeper keep your light secure when the day runs long. Black Diamond also builds it with 30% recycled materials by weight, including a recycled and DuraPET shell combo, plus removable bamboo fiber pads for day-to-day comfort.
