The Arc'teryx Women's Gamma MX Hoody is the softshell you reach for when the weather’s doing a bit of everything—cold air, some wind, and occasional moisture—but a full hardshell or insulated jacket feels like too much. It’s more breathable than a hardshell, with excellent warmth for little weight and just-enough weather resistance for mixed conditions and colder days.

On chilly hikes and approaches, it’s an easy standalone layer. When the forecast turns cold and wet, it also works well as a midlayer under a shell—exactly the kind of piece you keep by the door because it covers so many real-world days. This version is updated with FC0 material for a lower footprint. (Previously the Gamma Heavyweight Hoody.)
