The Zoleo Satellite Communicator is built for the point where cell service ends and you still need dependable communication. Paired with the free ZOLEO app on your smartphone or tablet, it lets you send and receive messages anywhere on Earth over the Iridium satellite network, with support for messages of 900+ characters, check-ins, location sharing, hyperlocal weather forecasts, and two-way SOS alerting. It’s a practical system for backcountry travel, remote worksites, overland routes, and any trip where staying reachable matters.

What stands out in real use is that ZOLEO keeps the essentials on the device itself. You can send a check-in or trigger SOS directly from the unit, even if your phone is damaged or out of battery. SOS alerts go to ZOLEO’s 24/7 emergency response coordination partner with your GPS coordinates, you receive confirmation when the alert is received, and you can exchange messages through the app until help arrives. For everyday peace of mind, the one-button check-in makes it easy to let contacts know you’re OK, and optional Location Share+ adds interval-based tracking from every 6 minutes to 4 hours with map and breadcrumb viewing in the app.
