For technical trails, long hikes, and mountaineering use, it brings the weather protection you want from a true hardshell while staying light enough for regular carry. The 3-layer GORE-TEX fabric with PFC-free ePE membrane delivers strong waterproofing, wind protection, and breathable performance that helps manage sweat on the climb while keeping rain and wind out.

Mammut has kept the feature set focused and useful: underarm ventilation for heat dump on steep sections, a 1-point adjustable hood, adjustable hem and cuffs, and backpack-compatible hand pockets with water-repellent zippers. The face fabric and backing are made from 100% recycled polyester, and the solution dyed backer reduces water consumption in production. It’s a practical shell for hikers who need dependable coverage over several days, not just a jacket that looks good hanging by the door.
