Type

Blue Ice Akila Ice Axe is built for climbers and ski tourers who want to move faster with a very technical, robust ice tool. At 49cm and 330g, it stays compact in a backpack, while the chromoly steel ergonomic head is shaped for strong anchoring on different surfaces.

The adze is wide enough to clear snow quickly for ice screw placement, and the tool comes with pick, adze and spike protectors plus a tech pommel. It’s Type 1/B, conforms to CE/EN 13 089 ice tools certification, and is designed and assembled in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. If you want it to be yours, personalized engraving is available with a discreet default placement on the back edge, just below the head.
