Patagonia’s Atom Sling 8L is the kind of pack that earns a regular spot by the door: big enough for daily essentials, small enough to stay out of your way. The asymmetrical single-strap harness keeps the load pulled in close, which matters when you’re weaving through a bus stop crowd or rolling around town on a bike.

Storage is simple and usable. You get a zippered front pocket for the items you reach for most, plus a divided main compartment that keeps smaller pieces from settling to the bottom. Tuck-away front straps handle an extra layer or a yoga mat, and the strap includes a zippered stash pocket for quick-access items. It’s built from recycled materials with a DWR finish made without intentionally added PFAS, and it’s made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory.
