Ropeman 4 Ascendor

The Wild Country Ropeman 4 Ascendor is a compact rope clamp built for the kind of technical jobs where simple, reliable handling matters most. It covers a broad range of applications, including emergency rescue, self-rescue, ascending, self-belay, and positioning lanyard adjustment, while staying small and light enough to keep on your harness full time.

What sets the Ropeman 4 apart is the updated side plate closure. The grooved mechanism prevents lateral sideplate opening while ascending and helps ensure the rope doesn’t get caught between the sideplate and cam, which makes the device more efficient and safer than comparable devices. Built from lightweight aluminium alloy, it works with 8-13mm ropes, flat and tubular slings from 10 mm to 15 mm, and HMS or oval carabiners. The ample cylinder hole design allows full rotation around the carabiner, and the stainless steel wire with plastic sheath gives you safe, easy handling when you’re working through a system mid-pitch or in a rescue setup.
