Petzl RAD System is a complete, ultra-lightweight, compact rescue and descent kit for skiers working in crevasse country. It’s built for crevasse rescue, rappelling, or roping up on skis when you need to get out of a crevasse zone with the right gear at hand.

The kit comes in a storage bag with a dedicated 30 m length of RAD LINE 6 mm cord—folded for immediate use to reduce the chance of knots or twists. You also get the core hardware for building systems: three Sm’D Screw-Lock carabiners, a TIBLOC ascender, a NANO TRAXION progress-capture pulley, and a 120 cm ST’ANNEAU sling, organized so it’s ready to go from the bottom of the pack.

  • Cord is folded for immediate use, limiting risk of knots or twists
