Wild Country Friend cams are the most advanced piece on a climber’s rack, designed to place and hold with dependable range overlap while reducing rope drag. The new-gen Friends keep the 13.75° cam angle, hollow double axles, and milled lobes for maximum holding power with minimal walking.

What sets this version apart is the combination of a thumbloop and an extendable cord (up to 20 cm). That extendable Flow Cord uses a seamless core-mantle construction for smooth, resistance-free extension, and it’s built to resist cuts and abrasion with a nylon and UHMWPE outer sheath. There’s also a red wear indicator in the core to signal when the sling is due for replacement—handy when you’re managing a busy rack.
