Monod Sports has been part of Banff’s outdoor community since 1949. We’re a family-owned shop known for quality gear, real mountain knowledge, and a strong connection to the people who live and play here. We’re looking for someone who shares that same energy — someone who loves the outdoors, knows their gear, and is stoked to help others get out there.

The Role

You’ll be part of the team on the retail floor, welcoming customers and helping them find the right gear for their adventures. Every day is different — from fitting boots to recommending layers — but the goal is always the same: provide a great experience, grounded in knowledge and care.

You’ll be doing things like:

Helping customers choose gear based on their needs
Running the till and handling transactions
Restocking shelves and keeping displays looking good
Joining product knowledge sessions to stay dialed
Assisting with inventory and general shop tasks

Who You Are

You spend your free time outdoors and know what makes good gear good. You’re approachable, confident, and enjoy connecting with people. Retail experience helps, but we care more about your attitude and passion for the lifestyle.

We’re looking for:

Experience with skiing, hiking, climbing, or related activities
Familiarity with the gear we sell (or a willingness to learn fast)
A friendly, clear communicator
Ability to work evenings and weekends
Previous retail or customer service experience is a bonus
