The North Face Base Camp Mules are built for the kind of easy use that starts around camp and carries into the rest of the day. They’re breathable, notably comfortable, and well suited to warm spring and summer conditions, whether you’re walking around the campsite, heading out the door, or just looking for a dependable lounge shoe that doesn’t feel limited to indoor use.

What sets the Base Camp Mules apart is the way they balance comfort, simple function, and end-of-life planning. This is The North Face’s first shoe to incorporate Circular Design principles, using fewer parts and materials so it can be returned, disassembled, and recycled into raw materials for a second generation of products. The collapsible heel lets you wear it up for light support or folded down for quick on and off, which makes sense in the real world when shoes are constantly going on and off through the day. This unisex style uses men’s sizing, so women should use the size guide for conversion.

Upper

  • Circular Design: thoughtfully designed to be disassembled and recycled by us at the end of its life into raw materials for a second generation of products.
  • Breathable upper is made with 100% recycled P.E.T. mesh across the top of the foot, and the heel is made with 50% recycled polyester-spandex spacer mesh.
  • Collapsible heel can be worn up for light support or folded down for easy on/off.

Sole Unit

  • Fully removable, molded internal footbed made with 30% recycled EVA.
  • Raised texture on footbed helps to prevent foot slippage and provides additional underfoot comfort.
  • Durable translucent rubber outsole for added protection whether you’re inside or outdoors.
  • 2 mm lugs for outdoor capability.

  • Sizes: 4–14 (whole sizes).
  • This unisex style uses men’s sizing.
