The Women's Madris Light ML Hooded Jacket is the kind of midlayer that earns a regular place in a mountain kit. It’s built for a wide range of use, from hiking and climbing to skiing and mountaineering, with a lightweight feel that still gives you the coverage you want when conditions are moving around. Breathable, wind-repellent, and quick drying, it works well when you’re climbing steadily and don’t want to stop to change layers.

Mammut uses a lightweight, elasticated outer fabric with a fleece waffle structure on the inside, so it feels comfortable against the body without giving up mobility. Flat seams help prevent chafing under a pack, and the fitted hood sits under a helmet when needed, with a ponytail hole that makes day-to-day wear easier too. The recycled polyester construction and HeiQ Fresh FFL treatment round it out nicely for long days, especially when a layer gets repeated use between washes.
