The Mammut Men's Ultimate VIII SO Jacket is a year-round softshell built for hiking, trekking, and everyday use when wind and light weather are part of the plan. Now in its 8th edition and marking 25 years, it sticks to what’s always made this piece dependable: a durable, weather-resistant 3-layer GORE® WINDSTOPPER® fabric that blocks wind and holds up to real use.

This version uses a PFC-free ePE membrane and recycled polyester fabrics to help reduce its carbon footprint, while the open 3D backing improves moisture-wicking and breathability during steady movement. Practical details—like underarm zips, a storm flap behind the front zipper, and thumb loops—make it easy to manage changing conditions on long trail days.
