Most of our food is DEHYDRATED. What does this mean to you? Our food is light, compact, and nutritious with amazing texture. Our food is NOT freeze dried. Dehydrated food takes about 20-30 minutes to rehydrate fully, unlike its freeze dried counterpart. For best results, we recommend bringing our meals to a boil twice and letting them rest for at least 20 minutes between. There is no need to simmer during this time. Simmering wastes fuel and has the potential to create troublesome soot in your backcountry stove.
