A great outdoor store depends just as much on what happens behind the scenes as what happens on the sales floor.
Monod Sports has been family-owned and operated in Banff since 1949. We carry thousands of products across skiing, climbing, hiking, trail running, camping, footwear and outdoor clothing, and keeping all of that inventory organized and moving efficiently is a big job.
We’re looking for a full-time Stockroom Assistant to join our team.
This is a great position for someone who likes staying active, keeping things organized and getting things done. You’ll work closely with our receiving, stockroom and sales teams to make sure new inventory is processed accurately and products get where they need to go.

Our full-time team works a four-days-on, three-days-off schedule, giving you a 40-hour work week while still leaving three days for skiing, climbing, biking, hiking or whatever else you’d rather be doing outside.

What You'll Do
Our stockroom team keeps inventory flowing from the moment it arrives at our door until it reaches the sales floor.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving incoming shipments and checking products against deliveries
- Unpacking, processing and tagging new inventory
- Organizing products accurately within our stockrooms
- Replenishing merchandise on the sales floor throughout the day
- Responding to product requests from the sales team quickly and accurately
- Helping maintain accurate inventory counts and product locations
- Completing inventory checks and assisting with stock discrepancies
- Keeping receiving and stock areas clean, safe and organized
- Moving boxes and merchandise between receiving, storage and sales areas
- Preparing products for the sales floor
- Assisting with seasonal inventory changes and larger deliveries
- Communicating with the sales floor and management teams about inventory
- Helping wherever needed to keep products moving efficiently through the store
This is an active position. You’ll spend a lot of your day on your feet, moving between stock areas and the sales floor, opening shipments, organizing merchandise and carrying boxes.

You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Are organized and pay close attention to details
- Like working efficiently and completing tasks properly
- Are comfortable working independently while also being part of a larger team
- Can stay organized when multiple deliveries or requests are happening at once
- Are physically comfortable being on your feet throughout the day and regularly moving merchandise and boxes
- Are dependable and take ownership of your work
- Communicate well with coworkers and managers
- Have an interest in outdoor activities and the products we sell
- Are available to work weekends as part of your regular schedule
Previous stockroom, warehouse, receiving or retail experience is an asset, but we’re happy to train the right person.
Familiarity with outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment is also helpful, particularly when it comes to recognizing products and keeping inventory organized.
