 | Black Diamond started in 1957 as a way for young Yvon Chouinard to support his climbing habit (he made hard steel pitons in his garage and sold them out of the back of his car in places like, um, Yosemite). Eventually, Yvon had to move the company out of the garage and today, Black Diamond is a global company spanning three continents.
With their headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah (close to some of the finest snow and rock on the North American continent), Black Diamond Equipment remains synonymous with innovation and pushing the limits with climbing and skiing equipment. |
